I wanted to write a post to update you all on the current TMOD situation. I was aiming to release my second novel and the conclusion to Delilah's journey this month, but the behind the scenes stuff is taking much longer than I first anticipated.
When I decided to push the release date back from November last year I did so with the best intentions. Not only for myself, but for my readers. I know how many of you have been asking about this novel, as you're all excited to see what happens next, but I couldn't put out work that I wasn't 100% satisfied with. I also didn't want my readers to not get the best story possible, so I made the decision to push the release date back so I could give this novel the ending it deserved.
The Delilah series is my debut as an author, and knowing my work wasn't where I wanted it to be kept me up at night. I want my readers to fall in love with the stories I tell, and I want my characters to be how I envision them, so I know I made the right decision, and I truly believe this novel is exactly where I want it to be.
With this being said, I've spent the last few months formatting and getting the book ready to be printed and distributed. I had set my heart on a March 28 release date, but unfortunately I've run into some issues that have caused the novel to be delayed again. I'm working tirelessly to fix these issues (they're nothing to do with the actual story). Authors do a lot of behind-the-scenes work, and it's a long process to get a novel from an A4 document to what ends up in your hands, and again, I wouldn't want to put out my novel knowing it isn't in tip top shape. I also don't want to open pre-orders and give you dates that I know I may not been able to meet.
It's important for me to make sure this novel is the absolute best it can be. This novel is the end of a journey for Delilah, and for me. While I will continue to bring my work to life, Delilah's journey is ending and I want you all to enjoy this final novel as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I promise as soon as I get any more information I'll let you know. I just thought it was the right thing to do to update you all. You all mean so much to me and I appreciate your patience. I know you've waited almost a year for this book, but I promise it's worth it. Thank you for sticking by as I fix these final things.
All my love,
