So if you've been following my recent posts you'll be aware that my second novel and the final part in Delilah Walkers journey, The Miracle of Delilah, is due to be released on the 28th April. You would also be aware of the process I've been through to get this novel ready to go out into the world. Originally, I had this novel penned down for a November 2017 release, but after much consideration I couldn't release this novel knowing it wasn't where I wanted it to be. I worked incredibly hard to get it to a point where I was incredibly proud of every element, and I was beyond thrilled to finally have a release date. But as we all know, sometimes life has a different plan for us.
My mentor and dear friend Karen received an e-mail from me the other day when I was in the midst of a pretty severe panic attack. I expressed my concern about this novel and to be perfectly honest with you all, I was worried that this was going to be an epic fail. Everything that could have been going wrong was, and I was stressed beyond belief. As an author you're your toughest critic, and when you're battling a mental illness this can become unbearable. I could have a million people complement me as an author and I could have one person say something negative about me as an author and chances are I'd believe the one negative comment over the million compliments. Anyway, in my e-mail I told Karen what I was feeling and after a long chat with her I realised that maybe the timing wasn't right. That's when I got some exciting news and suddenly, time and circumstances aligned perfectly.
I'm excited to announce that my novel book has been picked up by a distributor (Novella Distribution) to stores (like Dymocks - WHAT THE HECK?!), because of this I'm having to push the release date back and I also have to hold off until then to send out orders. My novel will be going out to stores for orders in August, so The Miracle of Delilah now has an August release date. As of now I cannot confirm the official date, but as always I'll update you all as soon as I know.
I, along with you - my readers-, are probably just as bummed as I am to not have the novel out this month as planned, but this is also an incredibly exciting opportunity for me, and I truly believe this is just meant to be. I apologise to all of you who were hoping to get a copy this month, but I know this is just the way things are meant to be. Those of you who already placed pre-orders have been contacted now, but if you pre-ordered and haven't, please check your emails or contact me ASAP to organise your pre-order option.
You can still pre-order a copy if you like :) You will be placed on the list and will receive updates as soon as I have them. I will be updating the information for pre-orders in the coming days.
Thank you so much for all of your patience, support and love. I appreciate you all so very much.
